Reduce Lag on Counter-Strike1.6 Server

If You are using Windows XP
You have atleast 512 Kbps upload speed .

1st Change HLDS.exe/Server priority to Highest in Task Manager (use ctrl+shift+Esc for taskamanger).

Explaination:Start the server, press CTRl + Alt + Del, click Processes, find hlds.exe in the list, and right click on it, SetPriority - Realtime.

2nd Use HLDS in console mode

3rd Go o the hlds.exe folder (from where you have opened the server),make a shortcut to the hlds.exe, then you will find in the same folder another file "Shortcut to hlds". Right click on this one, press Proprieties, and in the first row you have Target, and there yo have something like HDD:\location\hlds.exe .

Now simply add -console -game cstrike +sys_ticrate 1000 +heapsize 250000 +maxplayers 20 +map de_dust2

3rd You should change the value of +maxplayers only.  

4rth Delete all temporary files ( start-->run-->type temp) and temporary internet files.   

5th Fix your Winsock fror default internet connection speed.Download and install Winsocks.

6th Kill other unnecessary running processes, in task manager.

7th Do not play counterstrike1.6 using same directory in which your server/HLDS is running.

8th Close all internet consuming applications (opera,firefox,IE7,downloaders,bittorrent softs.)

9th Disable automatic updates (Start---> Run--->type-->net stop "automatic updates" ).

10th Defragment your server/HLDS drive. 

11th Run disk clean up for all drives. (Best is to make separate partition for CS1.6 HLDS server.  

12th You must Remove custom.hpk file from cstrike directory.

13th Use may use these codes below and paste in server.cfg, file in cstrike folder:

Add all of these lines to server.cfg ,file in cstrike folder :

Make Counter-Strike1.6 Server

1st you have to download Cstrike1.6 server and Swds.

2nd you have to make Hlds folder in c: then install Server Creator in that folder.

3rd after installing it you have to its folder memory if it 315

4th install Swds in C:/Hlds folder.

5th you have to Copy these codes in C:/Hlds/Cstrike/Server.cfg & erase the defoult codes:

6th you have to open Liblist.gam file in C:/Hlds/Cstrike/Server.cfg with the help of notpad.Erase it and write these lines:-

Add plugins to Counter-Strike1.6 Server

1st You Have to copy amx file to the Hlds\cstrike\addons\amxmodx\plugins Folder.

2nd Sma file to  Hlds\cstrike\addons\amxmodx\scripting Folder.

3rd Add the plugins name with its extension in Hlds\cstrike\addons\amxmodx\configs\Plugins.ini under the Add 3rd party plugins here.

For example: ultimate_sounds.amxx

1st You have to Download Master server.vdf:Click Here

2nd Copy this file into Counter-Strike\platform\config & Overwrite it.

Make Counter-Strike1.6 Logo

1st You have to Download HLLogoCreator:Click Here

2nd Open it and Choose the directory of Cstrike & press ok.

3rd  Click on Open and Select  the Image.

4rth Click on AutoSize & then Click on Make wad.

5th Tick on Save to and browse it choose this directory Counter-Strike\cstrike & Save it.

Remove spam from Counter-Strike Chat

1st Open Counter-Strike Game & Press [ ~ ] up of the tab button to open console.

2nd Type in console Unbindall & then press submit.

3rd Go to Counter-Strike game options and reset your keyboard buttons.
